This Work and Travel story follows Heba and Hedab Albaz, two Jordanian university students who traveled to the United States during the Summer Work and Travel Program in 2020. A New Beginning in the United States

Like many students joining the Work and Travel USA program for the first time, Heba and Hedab were excited, nervous, and curious about what awaited them.

After arriving in the United States, they began working at Dunkin’ Donuts in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. It was their first opportunity to experience the American workplace, interact with customers from different backgrounds, and develop new professional skills.

Every shift taught them something new—from teamwork and customer service to managing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Although adapting to a new country wasn’t always easy, they quickly settled into their new routine and started enjoying every moment.
